I will be on hiatus for the rest of the week, meaning that crimson satellite will not be updated during that time.
I am concerned about the direction in which the world is heading. I always try to take an optimistic view but sometimes it is difficult. It is frustrating when so few people are outraged when there is so much to object to – imperialist wars, unfathomable inequality and poverty, corporateer governments, total duplicity from human rights abusers who pose as human rights defenders. What upsets me the most is the sense that big criminals — mass murderers, war profiteers, engineers of “austerity” and starvation sanctions — will never be punished for their actions.
And there is nothing we can do about it.
Is it that easy to get lost in the daily drama of our lives? Are we so committed to just making it through life unscathed that we ignore the part of us that naturally wants to correct injustices?
I am posting below a song and video that I find inspiring.
